Atlanta Knights (IHL) |
From Brent's professional rookie season..... Brent posted 9 goals and 19 assists good for 28 points to go along with 33 PIMs..... Good wear with numerous stick marks and roughly a dozen unrepaired cuts..... Numbers and name (on nameplate) are two color twill... Obtained from the Hockey Gallery in October 2003..... |
Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL) |
Jersey features three color twill "painter style" numbers as well as a HUGE three color twill arched name (on nameplate)..... A shamrock patch was added to the jersey for cancer patient, and former Lightning player #12 John Cullen. The initials "D D" were also handwritten on the patch by the equipment staff for Debbie Demers, wife of then Tampa coach Jacques Demers, who was also dealing with cancer..... Brent wore number 17 for Tampa through the 1998-99 season when Wendel Clark arrived in Tampa. Brent switched to number 27 but both players were soon on their way out of Tampa. Clark went to Detroit in a multi-player deal on March 23, 1999 and Peterson was dealt to Pittsburgh for cash on March 18, 1999. Brent never played for the Penguins as he was sent to the minors (Cleveland Lumberjacks, IHL) upon joining the Pittsburgh franchise. Brent would play one more season of pro hockey in the United States with the Milwaukee Admirals..... Obtained from a private collector in July 2003..... |

Milwaukee Admirals (IHL) |
One of the best jerseys in our collection..... Words can not describe the wear on this jersey (other than maybe "General Filth")..... A few team repairs along with blue marks from the top of the dasher boards at the Bradley Center..... Pounded on both arms as well as the jersey body with stick marks EVERYWHERE, including on the nameplate..... This set of jerseys was recycled for the 1998-99 preseason and the equipment staff removed the PHPA 30th patch as well as the nameplate (Brent had moved on to the Grand Rapids Griffins)..... Many of the jerseys from this set were purchased by the Hockey Gallery, but this jersey was not included. When I asked the Hockey Gallery about this jersey they contacted the Admirals and tracked it down and had it restored with the PHPA 30th patch and the nameplate. Even a stick mark which crossed between the nameplate to the jersey body is a perfect match..... I had the chance to meet Brent in person at an MTU hockey reunion in August 2000 and had him autograph the jersey behind the crest..... Obtained from the Hockey Gallery in July 1999..... |
Grand Rapids Griffins (IHL) |
This is the first jersey I was able aquire, that I had actually seen worn on the ice (April 3, 1999 vs Detroit Vipers) before it became part of our collection..... Jersey has a velcro patch for captain's letter on the left chest..... Spectrum Health sponsor patch on the right chest..... The initials "T.D.P." written on the fightstrap with black marker..... Overall light wear with a few marks on the crest and sleeves along with 6 team repairs..... Beautiful three color twill/vinyl/twill numbers and name (on nameplate)..... Obtained from the Detroit Hockey Company in November 2001..... | ||
Nashville Predators (NHL) |
Jersey has light wear with only a few stick/puck marks scattered about..... Features two color twill numbers along with single color twill name (on nameplate)..... The 1999-2000 season would be Brent's last season of pro hockey in the United States. Brent appeared in several games in the 1999 preseason for the Predators, however he would spend the entire season with the Predators' top minor league team, the Milwaukee Admirals (IHL) where he posted 8 goals and 24 assists for 32 total points..... Obtained from the Detroit Hockey Company in June 2000..... |
Milwaukee Admirals (IHL) |
Another of our favorite jerseys..... Like most Peterson jerseys, it is pounded with wear and obvious that Brent never was afraid to go into the corners..... Almost a dozen team repairs, several dozen more cuts and tears, heavy pilling inside the elbows..... Like 100s of other late 1990s Admirals jerseys, this one didn't leave the team until a massive sell-off to season ticket holders which was held in December 2004..... Obtained from a private collector in October 2005..... |
Kassel Huskies (DEL) |
One item of note on this jersey is the DEL logo patch on the left chest. An embroidered patch has been sewn over an identical logo (view from inside of jersey) which was sublimated on the jersey along with the other sponsor logos..... Kassel goes through a ton of jerseys, typically four sets or more per season. This jersey is from set #3 and has a set stamp sublimated inside the back them..... Jersey was autographed near the back numbers prior to being sold by the team..... Obtained from a private collector in April 2003..... |
