Geoff received his share of awards during his four seasons at Michigan Tech. From the WCHA he was awarded All-WCHA Honorable Mention (1991, 1992), All-WCHA Academic Selection (1990, 1991, 1992), and the WCHA Student-Athlete of the Year (1992)..... Michigan Tech presented Sarjeant with the Norbert Matovich Memorial Award for Outstanding Freshman (1989), Harold Meese Award for Sportsmanship (1991), as well as the John MacInnes Slide Rule Award for High GPA (1991, 1992)..... When he left MTU, he ranked 4th all time in saves (2,357) and 6th all time in games played (75)..... One wonders how great Geoff's career at MTU might have been had he not played with two other all-time great MTU netminders (Damian Rhodes 1988-90 and Jamie Ram 1991-92). Only in 1990-91 could it be said that Geoff was the true #1 goaltender at MTU..... Similar to their parent club at the time, the St. Louis Blues, this jersey has three color numbers with the top and bottom colors being sewn twill with a vinyl layer for the center color. The name (on nameplate) in constructed in the same manner..... The jersey wear is light with a few stick/puck marks with the largest concentration at the sleeve cuffs..... Obtained from a private collector in April 2004.
