Overall the jersey wear is light with a few burns and puck marks.....
Pepsi sponsor patch on the right chest.....
Jersey is autographed on the left chest.....
Numbering is three color sewn twill and the name (on nameplate) is single color sewn twill.....
Obtained directly from the Pee Dee Pride in June 2001.

ECHL All Star Game |
Ulwelling gained ECHL All-Star honors in his first full season as a professional posting 20 goals, 32 assists and 119 PIMs.... The jersey was worn during the first period of the annual mid-season classic..... Oversized ECHL logo patch on the right shoulder..... All-Star game patch on the left shoulder..... The jersey features a tuxedo tail style hem (similar to those in roller hockey) in the back, as well as a squared off neck line. This jersey cut was used by several teams, but ultimately went the same way as Cooperalls..... Jersey was autographed on the back numbers after the game..... US flag patch on the left chest..... The numbers are three color sewn twill and the name (on nameplate) is single color sewn twill..... Obtained from a private collector in February 2004. |

These jerseys are from Matt's most successful professional season in which he posted 17 goals, 36 assists and 121 PIMs playing in all 72 games. He followed that up with 3 goals, 10 assists, and 18 PIMs in 17 playoff games as the Inferno advanced to the Finals where they ultimately lost..... So with all those games played, there is bound to be good wear. The sleeves are pounded with stick marks and slices..... The numbering is numbering is done in awesome four color sewn twill. The bottom layer is gold. This is covered by white glacier twill which is double edged with red and black twill..... Obtained from MeiGray in May 2004.
Stick marks? Yes, there are a few dozen of those, and that is just on the sleeves..... No visible team repairs, however there are about a dozen slices and/or board burns that are unrepaired..... Very much like the home jersey above, the numbers are very unique. Black glacier textured twill is the base layer. Two twill edgings of gold on red are inset from the edge of the black twill so that the same peice of black twill is both the main number color as well as the outter border color..... The name (on nameplate) is also done in a single color of black glacier twill..... Obtained from MeiGray in May 2003.
Columbia Inferno (ECHL) |
Another Ulwelling jersey with good wear. Heavy stick work all around the bottom half of the jersey and the sleeves..... The numbers and name are a downgrade from previous seasons. Seems like the jersey budget was running dry as the numbers are a simple block style three color sewn twill and the name (on nameplate) is two color sewn twill..... The shoulder logo is of the capital building, which served as the primary logo on their alternate jersey in 2002-03..... Large Holiday Inn sponsor patch on the right chest..... Lace-up neckline..... Alternate captain's "A" on the left chest which has been removed and reattached with chain stitching several times..... Obtained from MeiGray in May 2006. |
